商品説明 60年代前半まで生産されていたセカンドタイプ後期型をベースに、ディテールを構成したデニムジャケットです。 シルエットはヴィンテージを分解・解析したうえでパターンを作製。襟ぐりの形状や袖のラインなど細部まで再現しながら、 ポケットの大きさや前立ての幅なども当時のバランスを崩さないよう整えています。 ヴィンテージを解体した際に特に注視したのが縫い代の設計です。この縫い代幅が、着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで立体的なパッカリングを生み出し、ジャケット全体の表情を形作ります。 ポケットはやや下めに配置し、大きさとのバランスにも配慮。セカンドタイプ特有のバランス感を活かした仕上がりとしています。 ポケットフラップ裏には、ヴィンテージ同様にライトオンスデニムを使用。バータックはオレンジカラーの後期仕様を採用しています。 フロントはオリジナルの鉄ボタン仕様。鉄製タックの裏にはブランドの頭文字「R」の刻印が入ります。 縫製は、ヴィンテージでは本来環縫いで仕上げられる箇所を、あえて一本針で縫製。移行期に見られる変則的なディテールも忠実に再現しています。 リベットは銅と鉄に銅メッキを組み合わせた構造とし、当時の技法を踏襲しています。 A denim jacket constructed with reference to the late-model “Second Type” produced through the early 1960s, with its details carefully composed based on vintage examples. The silhouette has been developed through the deconstruction and analysis of vintage garments. While faithfully reproducing elements such as the neckline and sleeve lines, the size of the pockets and the width of the front placket have been adjusted to maintain the original balance of the period. Particular attention has been paid to the design of seam allowances—an element closely studied through the disassembly of vintage pieces. With repeated wear and washing, these allowances create pronounced puckering, shaping the overall character of the jacket. The pockets are set slightly lower, with careful consideration given to their proportion. The result preserves the distinctive balance unique to the Second Type. The underside of the pocket flaps is constructed using lightweight denim, as seen in vintage examples. The bar tacks are finished in orange, reflecting the later-period specification. The front features original iron buttons, with the brand’s initial “R” engraved on the reverse side of the iron tacks. For the stitching, areas that would traditionally be finished with chain stitching in vintage garments are intentionally sewn using a single-needle construction. This approach faithfully reflects the irregular transitional details found in certain period pieces. The rivets are constructed from a combination of copper and iron with copper plating, following the manufacturing methods of the time.
